Hi friends, have a nice day. I’m time for the April edition of What’s Up Wednesday. Thank you so much for being here.
WHAT WE EAT THIS WEEK
My meal planning is a thing of the past, and I continue to do it every day. But so far so good, and now that the new season of MasterChef has started, I’m even more inspired. That doesn’t mean I make anything as creative as them. But still, I love watching it while I cook.
Anyway, back to what we ate this week. So far, I’ve made Mediterranean chicken, and we still have plenty of leftovers. We are not fussy in my house, and we happily eat the same food two nights in a row.
I did make a big pot of delicious soup just to take to the office for lunch, and I’ve portioned it out and frozen it. I like my soup thick and creamy with lots of chicken and vegetables. This time I made it with a soup mix, and it had beans and barley, which made it more filling. This is a nice change from the summer salads I bring to the office during the hot months. Even though we haven’t really enjoyed the fall weather, soup is a nice substitute for salad and tuna.

My son’s friend’s family has a farm where they raise cattle for meat, and they generously give us meat, so we eat more red meat than usual.
Looks like I’m rambling now. There’s clearly no plan here.
WHAT I REMEMBER
Travel planning! I wasn’t in as much of a funk as when we returned from our US trip, but I was missing the excitement of planning the trip and counting down the days. That’s one of the best parts!
WHAT I LOVE
It’s autumn, but the weather is still warm, and I really like warm weather. I’ve probably gone and jinxed everything by now, and next week will be cold, and I’ll complain.
I want to know what the weather forecast is. I’m too scared to look at it!
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
We all just finished enjoying our trip to Singapore and Japan.

It’s back to work for all of us, and there’s always a bit of a shock when it comes back to reality.
If you want a recap of the trip I’ve done so far, you can find them here and here.
WHAT AM I AFRAID OF
Nothing that I can think of, for which I am very grateful. Well, I guess there’s one little thing.
I’ve shared before that I’m not good at anything medical. Yes, I do important women’s check-ups (ugh), but I tend to put off other things. I got a referral for a blood test, and it’s been a few years since my last test. I should probably check things like cholesterol, but the last time my white blood cell count was a little low, I immediately thought the worst.
The doctor said everything was fine, and I was probably just tired or fighting an infection. But after that, I thought, “Who needs this kind of negativity?” And I haven’t come back yet.
So I tried to pull myself together and do it. I’m not even afraid of needles; it’s more about the results. And I know putting it off is silly, but here we are.
WHAT I SAW
I went to see MichaelMichael Jackson biopic, and if you haven’t seen it, you should! I liked it so much, I want to come back again. I had to restrain myself from jumping out of my seat and dancing—it was great!
WHAT I LISTENED TO
Michael Jackson strikes! Mama says mama sa mama coo sa – woooooo!
WHAT I WEAR
Fall layers! I start the day with a denim jacket or light jumper, and then, as it’s still nice and warm during the day, I take off one layer, and go back to a T-shirt. Hooray!
WHAT I DID THIS WEEKEND
No plans
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH
I was just saying to a friend today that May is usually a very quiet month. Yes, he actually said that, and I agree. But apparently several things happened.
Firstly, one of our friends from our monthly meeting on Mondays was organizing a girls’ adventure, and we kicked off our first adventure on May 9th with a trip to Manly. Then we had a work dinner on the 22nd. I had some friends over one of the weekends, it seemed like it was my turn to host the cousins, and there was Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May.
It’s nice to have some things to look forward to in May.
Yes, at the risk of sounding repetitive, I’ll say what I always say. I can’t believe how fast time flies! It’s time to say goodbye to April. It was an incredible month, and I’m sad to see it go by. But hopefully, May will be good for all of us.
See you on Friday.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
