Valorant Gets RR Refunds for Competitive Matches with Cheaters

Tejo isn’t the only one coming to Valorant this season. We also received a major update regarding the Reporting and Banning System. Players will eventually receive refunds on their competitive matches where cheaters have been detected. Gamers have been wanting this new feature for a long time, so it’s a welcome change in the competitive scene. Here’s everything we know about it.

RR Refund System to Combat Fraud

It has been revealed for months that an RR Rollback feature was in the works, but that was the only news we got in 2024. Along with Season 25 Act 1 of Valorant, we got a new update regarding this system as showcased in Valorant News. Players will get a full RR refund in matches where they encounter cheaters, regardless of whether they win or not. The rollback will take effect in the next game once players are notified that they will get their points back.

It’s unclear whether you’ll need to submit a report to get a refund for a successful cheater ban, but it may not be necessary. We don’t have any updates yet on whether we will get similar treatment for players who have grief or teammates who are AFK. The players also want leniency for matches in situations like this so that we can get something similar in the future.

When will the RR Valorant Refund go live

This feature is still in development, and we don’t have a firm release date yet. However, we will get new information about this system soon, so we will have to wait for further developer updates. Until then, players can enjoy the latest action with their newest agent, Tejo.
