Ever wondered about Valorant’s ranking system and how it works? Luckily for you, this guide will give you a breakdown of Act rankings and ranking distribution. Let’s dive in.
Join Ranked Matches
To participate in ranked matches, players must be at least level 20. After qualifying, they must play 5 placement matches. This will help determine their initial ranking. Once that is over and done with, players can start increasing their Act Ranking.
Valorant Action Rankings
Like most FPS games, Valorant allows players to see how well they are performing in the game. This is done through a ranking system. To determine how well a player is performing in the current Round, Valorant uses what is called a Round Ranking. As the name suggests, Act Rank allows players to measure their ranking for the current action.
Every time a new Act starts, your Act Rating will be updated. If this happens, the game will require you to play several placement games to determine your overall ranking. After that, you can start filling in your Act Rank. As you continue playing ranked games, your triangle badge will fill with each of your wins.
Act Ranking also determines what rewards you will receive at the end of the Act. If you were originally a Silver ranked player and reached Gold, and remained at that rank for most of the Round, you will receive a Gold tier reward. As mentioned, your Act Rank will be reset, giving you the chance to get better rewards in each Act.
